Women come in all packages and sizes – we are as complex as our Maker! We can be loving and mushy one moment and then roll up our sleeves and pump iron the next. We have mastered the art of crying to show joy and then turn around and do the same to express our sorrow. We can talk baby talk, wipe runny noses, handle dirty laundry, kiss away the boo-boos and then pull on our business suits and walk into the board rooms and be tough.
Some mothers are so tired and unappreciated that they do not even realize that it is a special day dedicated to them. Some mothers are weeping over children they lost or never got a chance to hold and some children are weeping for mommys they did not get a chance to know and grow up with. Some mothers are working so hard and are so underappreciated 364 days of the year that Mother’s Day is nothing but a reminder of how hard and unattractive life truly is. Some single mothers with little children have worked so hard to make it work that they are tired and ready to call it quits. You get the picture
To all women who are reading this, I want to introduce you all to a special Someone who not only made women and enabled them to have and love children, but truly loves and considers you special 365 days of the year. He sees you as His princess, His warrior, His beloved daughter, His special joy. So, no matter how you feel today and every other day, I want you to know that you are cherished, extravagantly loved and no matter how frazzled or well-groomed you are, He sees you as His princess.
You and I may not be perfect, but our King, Jesus Christ, deemed us worth dying for. So, when you feel like a silhouette, blending into the background and forgotten, remember, you have a crown on your head and run after your King!
Happy Mother’s Day to all the beautiful women out there. Walk in the anointing and hold yourself as the true daughter of our Abba King!
"For your royal Bridegroom is ravished by your beautiful brightness. Bow in reverence before him, for He is your Lord!" Psalm 45:11 (TPT)
